intentional fitness
Intentional Fitness is one of a kind customized group fitness centered around functionality through exercise movements that increase longevity mobility strength and fat loss safely due to expert personal trainers leading the class.
Redemptive Opportunity
Community Commitment and Consistency is the driving force behind Intentional Fitness being on the Eastside showing the community the value of fitness, and why they should change their perspective; how to make it fun while being challenging and beneficial for generations to come. It's all about the 9 Essentials of Health and spreading the word that exercise and food are only 2 parts of being a completely healthy human being, but is an easy introduction to the deeper things not only within the black community, but within all people that needs to be addressed to change for the better and the future.
Business Model
Intentional Fitness generates revenue via recurring month to month memberships. Virtual classes, nutritional plans, and retail contribute to the growing income and profitability of Intentional Fitness.
Biggest Organizational Need
Intentional Fitness intends to scale from startup to growth phase, advancing from an owner run studio to a team run studio. Marketing and virtual production improving influence and outreach. Community management building upon communication, awareness, and involvement beginning with sales.
Capital Plan
Overhead of rent is the main obstacle. Intentional Fitness has been profitable over the last three years. The capital is available to hire 4 more trainers in the next 6 months allowing for more coverage of all classes. A satellite studio strategically placed serving an affluent demographic to assist the Eastside studio as it grows and is stable without personal investment. Corporate membership plans for businesses to take advantage of and their employees to benefit from increasing revenues and value of Intentional Fitness and the community as a whole.
emmanuel sosanya
Emmanuel Sosanya as a collegiate scholarship basketball player graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology Exercise and Fitness Management. Always willing to help others he knew he was going to have a career in some aspect of health. Going from physical therapy initially at OU to physicians assistant to having over 200 internship hours of prosthetics and orthotics before deciding on personal training. An NFPA certified trainer; for almost 20 years he has trained individuals, small groups, taught bootcamps, trained at your local ymca and coached and taught in OKCPS as an English teacher finishing his last 2 years at Douglass winning the 5th state championship in a row in 2013. Over the last 11 years he has worked as an entrepreneur and speaks as a motivational speaker and has worked as a mentor and tutor for years throughout his career.
Initially he started training out of his truck at client's homes, businesses, and held bootcamps at BluffCreek Park as P.O.W.E.R. TRAINING, meaning Pursuing Obstacles Will Equal Results. That's exactly what he did when he decided as a teacher at Douglass and again as a coach for OTF to start his own studio in the heart of the Eastside. The whole idea of having a studio that was comparable to an OTF, but stood to challenge the typical idea of a box gym is exactly what he did where no one would expect it to be was the Obstacle he Pursued, and the Result was 114 members before COVID19 and down to 73 members currently due to the pandemic and inflation. The plan is to franchise and make Intentional Fitness a household name in Oklahoma, and virtually recognizable anywhere in the world.
